Sandhya Yoga - Yoga beyond the teacher

 

sandhya<sanskrit>  means "Time of union or conjunction". There are three Sandhyās in a day. These are morning sandhyā (Prātaḥsandhyā), noon sandhyā (Madhyāhna sandhyā) and evening sandhyā (Sāyaṃ Sandhyā). Source

Understandting the importance of different daily qualities for our daily life and implementing that can help us to get more awareness for ourselves and our surroundings. A steady Yoga practice can support us in doing so. Hatha Yoga Practice therfore is at its best done in the morning or eveneing hours and is offered by Sandhya Yoga in order to take these needs into account.

empower yoga students and provide a basic knowledge for their own yoga practice beyond yoga studios, teachers and teachings and so on.

 

The teachings are mindful for Yogi*nis of any kind of physical fitness or possible handicaps: The aim is to balance traditional Indian teachings and European needs.

In the last years yoga attained a huge popularity in our society. Though, still there is a belief about Yogi*nis needing to be superflexible and sporty persons or at least interested in estoeric beliefs. The aim is to dig yoga out of that niche and open it to everyone who is interested.

People of any age and level of fitness should be able to learn what is needed for a steady yoga practice in the studio and at home.

Classes mainly focus on traditional Hatha Yoga, which includes pranayama (breathing techniques), as well as asanas (body postures) and relaxation.

With many different concepts for classes and various styles Sandra  wants to meet her students requirements and open yoga to a great number of interested people. From Ashtanga to Deep Relaxation, from Hatha Yoga in the Morning to Flow Sequences, for advanced and beginners, for enhancing flexibility or dealing with back pain, these are all just names and styles for the same goal.
